Carolyn Goodman
Mayor Carolyn Goodman received a bachelor’s degree in anthropology from Bryn Mawr College in 1961. Carolyn and her husband Oscar moved to Las Vegas from Philadelphia as newlyweds in 1964. Oscar Goodman
Oscar Goodman was mayor of Las Vegas from 1999 to 2011, being elected 3 times by an overwhelming majority. He left office in June of 2011 due to term limits. Officially known as the “Happiest Mayor in the Country”, he now is an ambassadori of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitor Authority and just produced a pilot for a TV show called “Night Court with Oscar Goodman”.
